A simple ceremony marked the burial at Nudgee Cemetery yesterday of Leading-Aircraftsman Henry Beirne Douglas. a voung Brisbane member of the Royal Australian Air Force wno

was killed while in training in Canada more than six weeks ago. The funeral service of the Catholic

Church was conducted by his cousin—the Rev. Father Francis Douglas, of Coolangatta, in the presence of only his immediate relatives, his old teachers of St. Columban's and Nudgee Colleges, and a few of his University friends. Leading-Aircraftsman Douglas had previously been buried with full airforce honours at Barrie, Ontario, near his training station, but his body was brought to Queensland following arrangements made by his parents — Mr. and Mrs. H. A. C. Douglas, of Ascot— and yesterday was placed beside that of his grandmother — Mrs. T. C. Beirne —in the family vault at Nudgee.
